CASHIER (1 POSITION)

TAZARA SACCOS limited is a registered Co-operative Society. SACCO’s wishes to recruit a Tanzanian citizen for a post of Cashier as follows:-

Line of reporting:          Manager.

Location:                      Dar es Salaam. Mandela/Nyerere road.

Salary:                         As per TAZARA SACCOS LTD Scheme of Service.

Terms of Employment: Three years contract, renewable based on performance.

Area of operation:        Dar es Salaam to Tunduma along TAZARA line.

Age limit:                     Not more than 45 years.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Handling all cash and bank transactions.
2. Maintaining monthly, weekly and daily report of transactions.
3. Assist customers where possible.
4. Provide answers to product and payment related queries.
5. Refer customers to the right person to answer queries and deal with any problems.
6. Process payments according to company procedure.
7. Maintain accurate records of transactions.
8. Maintain neat, tidy and orderly work area.
9. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification, experience and skills required:

Education:

• Diploma in Accountancy or Finance. (Form four certificates is a must),
• Com (Accounting). BBA (Accounting) or equivalent Qualification from a recognized Institution and 2 years experience are added advantage).

Skills:

• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Fluent in English and Swahili language
