KASI is an NGO registered in Tanzania. It is the first organization of its kind in Tanzania. KASI is officially registered under the Associations Act with the Registrar of societies, Ministry of Home Affairs, on 08/04/1993, as Society No. SO.7744. KASI works by the principles guiding Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO Policy) in Tanzania to fulfill Its objectives in the best interest of its members. KASI is the only organization that, represents the unique needs of people with spinal cord injuries (SCI) in Tanzania, as well as addressing wider disability issues

To affectively play its role within the Big Lottery Fund (BLF) funded project Rebuilding Lives. Growing Livelihoods, Motivation Tanzania and KASI Tanzania are recruiting support staff to help with the Implementation of the project.

    Motivation Tanzania is recruiting a Finance and Administration Officer as part of a strategic plan to reinforce its accounts, administrative and logistics capacity


  1. Support the Project Manager to generate timely budgets for the implementation of activities of the project;
  2. Assist the Project Manager with maintaining the cashbook for funds relating to the project;
  3. Ensure that the receipt books, payment vouchers and bank statements are filed accordingly and receipts are banked intact;
  4. A Supporting the Project Manager to reconcile the cashbooks to the bank statements on a monthly basis;
  5. Assist with preparing financial reports on a monthly basis and share these with the Project Manager;
  6. Facilitate the timely payment of all organizational bills and salaries through payroll;
  7. Organize payments for the Terms of Reference for staff working for the project or any other person as delegated by the Project Manager
  8. Generate all financial claims (fund transfer requests) from the UK Office of Motivation;
  9. Ensure proper filing of all documents that relate to the communication and agreements with partners of Motivation in Tanzania;
  10. Liaise with project partners to ensure that payments are made in a timely manner for activities and administrative purposes;
  11. Obtain price quotes from potential vendors; do bid analysis and advise the Project Manager;
  12. Identify and analyse potential operational improvement as appropriate based on the findings, make proposals for operational changes (policy, processes or procedures),
  13. Remit all statutory deductions to the relevant government authorities or agents:
  14. Handle enquiries within his/her capacity:
  15. Visit partners to provide financial and logistics technical support and ensure that they understand and abide by the Motivation and BLF financial guidelines, procedures and templates efficiently and transparently;
  16. Perform all other duties as assigned and required by Project Manager (including inputting data as and when required);

Education, qualifications and experience
• A degree or equivalent,
• Possess professional accounting qualifications and knowledge in administration principles with a minimum of six months’ work experience,
• Strong computer skills in administrative, accounting and office applications (including Excel);
• Ability to read, write and understand English;
• Ability to work under minimum supervision and clearly set own work plans.
