In total, Pathfinder International is seeking to engage eight interns, four in Kigoma and four in Katavi. The internship will be for a six-month period beginning in May 2023. The selected interns will be grouped into male-female pairs and be trained to facilitate small group sessions for the Couple Connect for Young Couples intervention which will be implemented in Uvinza and Tanganyika districts. The interns will participate in a two-week training with the curriculum developers and then will work closely with Pathfinder International to implement the curriculum. Implementation will include collecting baseline and endline information from group participants, coordinate with a co-facilitator to prepare for and facilitate the 14 sessions of the curriculum for approximately 2-3 small groups, conduct review meetings with other program implementers monthly to review progress, and participate in the evaluation of the program, as needed. Travel expenses during field work will be covered, according to organizational policies that will be outlined in the internship agreement.
