Social Media Content Creator



Silverleaf Academy is a chain of affordable private pre-primary and primary schools, educating children aged 1-14. Our mission is to provide lower-middle income families in Tanzania with highest quality learning at the most affordable levels. Using the national Tanzanian curriculum, Silverleaf schools deploy an inclusive, tech-supported curriculum inside every classroom, and adopt an innovative team-teaching approach and in-service training program. Our schools are specifically designed to build both student academic competencies and wider life, leadership and learning skills. It is our promise to our students and their parents that Silverleaf students will not leave school without full mastery of the basic skills of writing, reading and math, while also being prepared for a world where critical thinking, team collaboration, and entrepreneurship are paramount. Silverleaf Academy believes that quality education should be accessible to every child.



The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for creating engaging content for Silverleaf Academy’s social media channels, scheduling weekly posts on Buffer platform, and working on-campus three times a week to ensure alignment with organizational goals, content pillars and strategies. 



  1. 10% increase in the number of followers on Instagram on a monthly basis. 
  2. 370 high quality photos/videos produced and shared for approval prior to being scheduled on Buffer.
  3. Increase in level of audience engagement in likes, comments, shares, and other interactions per post.
  4. Maintain a 20% Increase in number of Reach and Impressions on a monthly basis (Increased reach means more people are exposed to the content)
  5. Percentage increase of social media followers from Arusha and other geographical areas to at least 20% by end of Q4 2024.
  6. % increase in conversion rate from social media leads. ( aims at monitoring the ability of social media content to convert leads into customers)



  1. Content Creation:
  • Develop creative and compelling content for Silverleaf Academy’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin) to increase brand visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with the organization’s message house and goals.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and style.
  1. Content Scheduling: 
  • Utilize Buffer platform to schedule weekly posts across various social media channels, ensuring consistent and timely distribution of content.
  • Monitor scheduled posts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and optimal timing for maximum reach and engagement.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and algorithm changes to optimize scheduling strategies.
  1. On-Campus Work:
  • Work on-campus three times a week to collaborate with team members, attend meetings, and participate in brainstorming sessions.
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather information, photos, and updates for social media content.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting on-campus events, campaigns, and initiatives through social media channels.



  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant Certificate program or above (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
  • Experience with social media management platforms, particularly Buffer, is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas for social media content.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
