KCSE 2023 Results Released: January 8, 2024

The 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results have been announced. This year’s release, led by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu, took place at Moi Girls High School in Eldoret, marking a change from the usual location at the Kenya National Exams Council (Knec) headquarters in Nairobi. A total of 903,260 candidates sat for the exams, with 1,216 achieving a Grade A, slightly higher than the previous year. However, results for 4,113 candidates are being withheld due to suspected cheating, and four results have been canceled due to impersonation. Additionally, President William Ruto has ordered an investigation into why 3,000 registered candidates did not sit for the exams and called for stricter measures against exam cheating. The Ministry of Education had introduced a new grading system in August 2023 to facilitate more students entering universities.

“Individual 2023 KCSE candidates’ examination results will be accessed online through a link on the KNEC website or directly through the URL: www.results.knec.ac.ke.
