• Access Lormis: Visit the official Lormis website at https://lormis.tpf.go.tz/.
• Choose Language: Select your preferred language, Swahili or English.
• Register Lost Property: Click on “Sajili Mali Iliyopotea” (Register Lost Property).
• Fill Out the Form: You will be required to provide details about yourself and the lost item, including:
  • Your personal information (name, phone number, email address)
  • Location where the item was lost (region, district, ward)
  • Category of the lost item (electronics, documents, vehicle, etc.)
  • Specific details about the lost item (name, brand, model number, serial number, etc.)
  • Date the item was lost
• Payment: There is a small fee of Tsh 1,000 (around USD 0.43) to register a lost item on Lormis. You can make the payment electronically using your mobile phone through the Government e-Payment Gateway (GePG). Pay using M PESA, TIGO PESA, Airtel Money, T Pesa etc.
• Download Report: Once your payment is successful, you can download a copy of your loss report for your records.

Specific Losses and Requirements

• Lost Passport: While you can file a loss report for a lost passport online or at the station, contact the Tanzanian Immigration Department for specific procedures to replace your passport.
• Lost Phone: If your phone is lost or stolen, immediately contact your mobile service provider to block the SIM card to prevent unauthorized use. You can then report the loss through Lormis or at the police station.
