Purpose of the role

The HR Intern will assist the Human Resources Manager in the day-to-day HR administration. The internship will provide learning opportunities for candidates who are interested in learning HR in the NGO Sector.


  • Update both physical and electronic filing systems
  • Conduct an employee file audit in line with prescribed guidelines
  • Audit all Staff files both electronic and physical to see what is missing on the files
  • Come up with an action plan to ensure missing documents are placed on file
  • File all missing documents both electronic and hard copy
  • Screen resumes and application forms in smart recruiters
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates
  • Attend to HR staff queries
  • Assist HR manager in processing staff benefits
  • Assist Hr Manager in maintaining and updating staff information systems
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed
  • General HR Administration
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the HR Manager

Expected requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management / Social Work / Business Administration and should have graduated recently
  • Computer skills desirable
