POST NO. 2122:          LECTURER / SENIOR LECTURER

The Department of African Languages and Literature seeks to appoint a lecturer/senior lecturer in Language and Linguistics. The applicant should be able to teach the following courses: Phonetics, Phonology,  Morphology,  Semantics,  Syntax,  Pragmatics,  Sociolinguistics  and  Sesotho Language
Proficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

    PhD or MA in African Languages and Linguistics with focus on Sesotho.

    First degree in Language and Linguistics will be an added advantage.

    Evidence of research and teaching in an institution of higher learning

Duties

PhD Holder

    Teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students

    Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research

    Research

    Community service engagement

    Perform other duties required by the Department

M.A Holder

    Teaching of undergraduate students

    Supervision of undergraduate research

    Research

    Community service engagement

    Perform other duties required by the Department

Remuneration:
