The National Institute of Public (NIPA) is a statutory body established under an Act of Parliament No.15 of 1996. NIPA now seeks the services of highly motivated individuals to join its team of skilled professionals.

The vacancies are therefore available to be filled by suitably qualified candidates:



To provide a risk based independent, objectives, assurance and consulting service to the Institute in order to ensure that assets are safeguard by monitoring compliance with statutory, procedural and policy standards.

REPORTING TO: Chief Internal Auditor

Knowledge and skill requirements:

  • Grade 12 university entrant
  • Degree in Accountancy or ACCA, CIMA
  • Certificaton by Institute of Internal auditor.
  • Membership of ZICA
  • Certification by Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant post qualifying at senior management level in a reputable organisation
  • Knowledge of public financial regulations and regulatory environment of public bodies
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Numerical/computation skills
  • Knowledge of IT audit software applications
  • Problem solving skills
  • Decision making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Position 1 is on a fixed term contract of three years renewable by mutual agreement, and positions 2 to 4 are on permanent and pensionable contract of service. NIPA Terms and Conditions of Service will apply.
