UDSM Admission 2024/2025: The officials of University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) released the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) Admission 2024/2025 in Tanzania at the official website (Link will be provided below of this post), admission to various undergraduate, Masters, Diploma, Certificates, postgraduate, M.Phil & PhD courses in different disciplines. With the release of University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) Admission Form in Tanzania, the officials also released University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) Eligibility Criteria and procedure for applying. The University of Dar es salaam offers various academic programmes leading to the award of certificates, diplomas, and degrees. A total of 4 Certificates, 3 Diplomas and 65 Undergraduate Degree Programmes are offered at various academic units of the University of Dar es Salaam these include Evening Study programmes designed to offer opportunities to mainly the working people although any interested person who have requisite entry qualifications can apply.

 

 

Instructions on how to apply for various Undergraduate programmes at UDSM

All applications are processed through the Online Admission System (UDSM-OLAS) at https://udsm.admission.ac.tz. All application procedures are available from the online system accessible through the website at https://www.udsm.ac.tz.

All degree (direct and equivalent qualifications) and non-degree applicants will have to apply through the UDSM-OLAS.

Admission account

After loading the admission page on the UDSM-OLAS at https://udsm.admission.ac.tz please follow the steps below:

The admission page has the following features:

Click the UNDERGRADUATE tab where you will find tabs for INSTRUCTONS and REGISTRATION.

Please read the instructions carefully on how to apply for various Undergraduate Programmes at UDSM.

Then go to the REGISTRATION tab to open your admission account. To register for an account in the UDSM-OLAS you will need to provide the following details:

First name

Surname

(Note: Names as they appear in your form four certificate)

Email Address

Mobile Telephone Number

To finalize registration you will need to put in a password of your choice that you will use whenever you wish to log into the UDSM-OLAS.

Fill in the characters Captcha as displayed on the page (i.e. blue characters)

Then click the REGISTER AS UNDERGRADUATE button to create an account.

If you have successfully registered an account, the system will send an email to a specified email address. Please login into your email account to activate your admission account. Then use the link sent into your email to login into the UDSM-OLAS.

Note: Your username is your email address and Your Password is the password you had provided when creating your account.

Application fee payment: Tanzanians

When you are logged into your account you will find notification that your account is successfully activated (please open the notification)

Click at My Application button to start application

You will be presented with four [4] steps to finish the application

Note: choose the  programmes in the selected List and if  you put choice 1, means that is your first choice, the second is your second choice…etc.

the selection process will also consider your choice priorities

ADMISSION INTO UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES FOR THIS ACADEMIC YEAR 

The University of Dar es Salaam invites applications for admission from qualified candidates into its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the Academic Year.  In this academic year, the University will offer a total 88 undergraduate programmes and more than 189 Postgraduate Programmes leading to the award of certificates, diplomas, bachelor degrees, postgraduate diplomas, masters and PhD.  For more information, you may download details at the links : Undergraduate Admission Procedures Guide book or Postgraduate Admission Procedures Guidebook

All requisite information and guidelines to take the applicant through the application stages are provided from the respective Instructions tab. ie.  UNDERGRADUATE  tab  for those applying for Certificates, diplomas and  bachelor degrees and POSTGRADUATE tab for those applying for    postgraduate-diplomas, masters and PhD .

Applicants are reminded to register their names as they appear in Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) and Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSE) including index numbers where prompted.

Undergraduate applicants with foreign certificates are required to first present their certificates to the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) for verification at: www.necta.go.tz.. NECTA will issue them letters showing equivalent grades, copies of which should also be uploaded together with other certificates. Equivalent applicants are advised to obtain a special unique number from National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) for verification and applying in the system at: www.nacte.go.tz. 

Postgraduate applicants with Foreign Certificates should have their certificates verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) at: http://faas.tcu.go.tz/login.php upon receipt of admission letter and prior joining the University of Dar es Salaam for studies.
