CHINA PETROLEUM PIPELINE ENGINEERING CO, LTD is a contractor for Pipeline of East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project. Sunmaker Development and Consulting (Tanzania) Limited is contracted by CHINA PETROLEUM PIPELINE ENGINEERING CO, LTD to undertake:
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) – Welding Training
The individual originating candidates will be covering the whole Tanzania nationally.
Eligibility / Requirements:
- Must be above 18 years of age
- An individual needs to understand the working environment very well and be able to adapt smoothly to various working situations.
- Individuals must hold National Vocational Awards/Vocational Certificates Levels I or II or III in Welding and Metal Fabrication / Auto Body Repair / Fitter Mechanics / Fitter Turner / Auto Body Repair / Boiler Mechanics /                                                                                  Plumbing /                                                                                          Pipe                                                                                    Fittings.
- Successful applicants should be ready to stay at the training Institute for at least 280 training hours to complete the training.
Physical Requirements:
- Eyesight Test; This will be tested by the Selecting Officers using Optotype. Minimum requirement is <= -1.0D.
- Steady Hands and Good Hand-Eye Coordination
- Ability to be able to perform all essential functions required; Sit, climb, see, balance, hear, walk, smell, talk, reach, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. This will be tested by the Selecting Officers during Interviews.
- Colour Blind Test; This will be tested by the Selecting Officers during Interviews.
- Vision test Jaeger N° 1 @ 30cm; Ability to read J1 without squirting
Knowledge Requirements:
- Ability to spot a dangerous environment and implement procedures to prevent illness or accidents, as well as circumstances that might negatively affect morale or mental health. This will be tested by the Selecting Officers during Interviews using specific tools/instruments.
- Strong critical thinking skills, Ability to practice and maintain active listening, problems solving, Team management Ability to articulate and communicate well with others. This will be tested by the Selecting Officers during Interviews using specific tools/instruments.
Application Procedure:
- Interested candidates should get the Application Forms from the designated offices/locations in the districts as indicated below. Or email your CV to [email protected].
- Fully completed application forms with supporting documents attached should be returned to the designated offices/locations where the forms were collected before the deadline date mentioned below.
Physical Interviews will be conducted at: Arusha Technical College (ATC)
- After completing the application form, return it with supporting documents; National ID Card Copy, Latest Education Certificate and all previous education certificates, Passport size Picture, Previous experience (if available) etc., to the place where you picked it from in a sealed envelope.
- After screening process, online interview is available to candidates who can not make it to Arusha. A Link to Teams Meeting App will be provided via email.
- The trainee who has passed the test upon completion will be given priority/preference to sign an employment contract with CHINA PETROLEUM PIPELINE ENGINEERING CO, LTD. And the trainee should sign the contract and commit to providing services for CHINA PETROLEUM PIPELINE ENGINEERING CO, LTD for at least two years starting from the contract signing date.
Deadline:
The deadline for submission is 19th June 2024 at 5 PM. Any application form submitted after that time shall not be considered for evaluation to join the training program.
