The WSU Online Application Process

Here are the steps to apply online for a WSU programme:

1. Go to the WSU website (www.wsu.ac.za) and click on the “Apply Online” button on the home page.
2. Select “Student Services” from the menu, then “Online Applications”.
3. Choose “Apply to WSU” and specify the academic year you want to apply for.
4. Enter your personal details (name, surname, ID number, etc.) and select the campus you wish to attend.
5. Provide the student number of a family member who has previously attended WSU (if applicable).
6. Select the programme you wish to apply for, and specify any additional subject you wish to study (if applicable).
7. Enter your academic record and examination results. You can save your progress and return later if you need to.
8. Upload scanned copies of your academic records and any tertiary institution records. If you don’t have access to a scanner, you can use your smartphone to take a photo of the documents.
9. Provide payment details to pay the application fee.
10. Submit your completed application form.

Student Online Services Portal

WSU has created a student services portal that will enable you as a student to access your information such as personal particulars, academic reports, results and fees statements for example, online.

You will be able to print certain reports such as proof of registration and fees statements. If you need an official stamped report like academic records, you need to visit the office rendering that service.
