The Examinations Council of Zambia was established in 1983 and its mission is to set and conduct examinations of high and comparable standards that will reflect the quality of the educational system in the country. The main functions of the Council are to conduct examinations and process the results; award certificates and diplomas to candidates who pass examinations; carry out relevant research in examinations; advise any public institution on the development and use of any system of testing or examining when requested to do so;formulate syllabuses for examinations; promote the international recognition of qualifications conferred; and organize training courses, or arrange for the training of, examiners, markers, supervisors, invigilators and other persons connected with examinations.

ECZ Exams 2021:

The following exams are being conducted by ECZ. All the Examinations will be conducted in accordance with the Guidelines for the Administration and Management of Examinations in Zambia.

 

ACCESSING 2021 GRADE 7 AND 9 RESULTS VIA YOUR MOBILE PHONE

You are now aware that the 2021 Grade 7 and Grade 9 Examination results were released on 22nd December 2021 in Lusaka. Here is how you check the results using your mobile phone:1. You open the new message pad on your Mobile Phone
2. Type the full Examination Number (Leave Space)
3. Type the Examination Year (Leave Space)
4. Type the Examination Grade and
5. Send to 8383

 

For example: 17345678912 2018 G7 and send to 8383
17345678912 2018 G9 and send to 8383

The SMS Service is available on all the networks in Zambia- that is MTN, ZAMTEL and AIRTEL. The SMS cost is K4 per successful transmission.

NOTE: Candidates however, are advised to go and collect the original transcripts of results from the SCHOOL OR EXAMINATION CENTRE where they wrote the examinations from, and NOT from the Examinations Council of Zambia or any Ministry of General Education Offices.

HOW TO CHECK GCE, GRADE 7 & 9 RESULTS ONLINE 

  • The web address to use is: https://eservices.exams-council.org.zm/
  • Click on link number 4 which reads “E-STATEMENTS OF RESULTS” on the lists links, then
  • Click on “CANDIDATE SIGN IN”
  • Select level you want to check results for in the select box e.g. “GRADE 9” or “GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION”
  • Then click on “Continue” button
  • Enter your correct Examination number and click on “Continue” *The results will be displayed showing all the detail of the candidate
  • Click on “PRINT STATEMENT OF RESULTS” *A PDF document will be generated in a new tab with the browser which you can either print if connected to a printer or Save

How to get ECZ results 2023?

Zambia Ministry of Education will publish the exam results in the press after that ECZ will out the results. ECZ Web Portal does not allow students to check the ecz results online. Instead, students may get the results from their schools along with by using the mobile SMS.

ECZ Web Portal allows candidates to Registration of the different level of exam for the students and this is done through the Online Candidate Registration System (OCRS). This is a system that has been designed to allow for the registration of candidates at the school and district levels.
